Add Content: Bug?
I am trying to add a new issue to the Spanish Translations page of the Journal of Industrial Ecology website and seem to have encountered a bug.
Previously, there were Volume 20 Issue 2 and Volume 20 Issue 3, both looked good when I clicked to expand. However, when I added Volume 20 Issue 4, the Issue 4 section was created under Issue 3 but the body of Issue 4 also appeared appended to the bottom of the body of Issue 3. When I clicked on Issue 3 to edit, the appended Issue 4 did not appear in the edit window and I could not delete the excess text.
I then deleted Issue 4, but Issue 3 still had the Issue 4 body appended. So I deleted Issue 3 and created a new Issue 3, at which point the body of the new Issue 3 appeared appended to the bottom of itself.
Finally, I created a “Test” issue to see if it would get appended to Issue 3. It did not. Now what is live on the website is Issue 3 appended to itself, plus the Test issue. When I try to edit Issue 3 the edit window still does not show the appended text and gives no way to delete the appended text.
Please advise how to proceed, seems there is a bug on the back end. Thank you.
Hello Yang,
There are two pieces of content titled Issue 3, I can delete the most recent since its displaying the same info. Otherwise I don’t see a reason for items to display differently. This is a Drupal 6 site which takes a while for changes to be displayed. I recommend clearing the sites caches after editing. Also this site is in a list of sites that need to be migrated over to Drupal 7. You will receive an email shortly.
