Optional URL in Field Type: Link

When I use the field type: link (in this case for the Partner Organizations field), I tried selecting the box for “Optional URL: If checked, the URL field is optional and submitting a title alone will be acceptable. If the URL is omitted, the title will be displayed as plain text.” This is exactly what I want, as some partner organizations will have links, but others will not.

However, this does not work as it says it will. In fact, if I do not input a URL, the title still shows up as a link and it links to my website’s homepage.

Any idea how to fix this?

This appears to be a bug. The check box should work the way you used it. We are looking into it. My suggestions is to use the work around for the time being. I will contact you with any updates on this issue.

Hi Devon,

We finally got to the bottom of this bug and it is fixed on your live site. You can now enter Partner Orgs without the URL and the title will show up un-linked.

Also, I see that you dev site is really far behind your prod site, can we update your dev site to the content on your prod site? Let me know asap.
