something is wrong with my dev site

Issue/Request:
I am having trouble with this dev site - something is wrong. Once I create and save a css file using the css injector, that file is not over-written on the server but the new code is kept in the css file.
I am redesigning and need to have the css injector working properly - can you look into this?
Lisa.
I can create and save a css file using the css injector, and I see the style changes. If I go back to that style sheet and tweak the code, save and upload, that new style code is not over-written on the server, but the new code is still kept in the css file.
Hi Lisa,
Can you please provide me the CSS code you insert into the site? And what are you trying to do with the site?
Thanks,
-Chao Hang Lu
Yes, you will required to clear any cache in Acquia and CSS and JavaScript cache. Since the coding is working now you might want to combine both CSS file together. This way you will have a clean sheet and it will still do the same format style.
Thanks

Actually, what you are seeing is 2 different files to cover 2 attempts on modifying the page. The div.field:nth-child(1) > div:nth-child(1) > div:nth-child(1) { is targeting the image on the faculty page css (_26)
/* paragraph field for Faculty - Maria */
div.field:nth-child(6) > div:nth-child(1) {
margin-top: 0;
}
That code is from the maria css (_31) and is targeting the div where the content sits. It’s working now, however, was not working when I sent the email to you earlier this morning.
So, I think I’ll need to dump the Acquia cache when I’m coding the css in order to apply the most recent style sheets.

Hi Lisa,
I see that both CSS Injector file name called “Faculty page” & “Maria” have exactly the same CSS code and they both are trying to apply below CSS code to http://dev.hsp.macmillan.yale.edu/people/maria-kaliambou page only is that correct?
div.field:nth-child(1) > div:nth-child(1) > div:nth-child(1) {
float: right;
padding-left: 20px;
padding-bottom: 20px;
}
May I know on that page what are you trying to applied the CSS to? It seems like
div.field:nth-child(1) > div:nth-child(1) > div:nth-child(1) { is not the right element is trying to point out.
Normally the CSS Injector code might have stuck at Acquia Cloud Varnish or CSS and JavaScript Cache. If you clear the cache it usually will applied the style you trying to accomplish.

Hi Chao Hang Lu - the bottom 2 or 3 style sheets are the ones that I’ve been working with. #16; 21; 26; and 31. I think it may have something to do with the cloud and that I may have to dump my cache each time to see the results. I now can see the “Acquia Cloud Varnish” option under the clear cache menu.
Is it problematic to be clearing the cache multiple times in a row? When I am working with CSS I need to adjust things many times.
Lisa.
