Issue/Request:
I am trying to link: https://east-a-60ols.csi-cloudapp.net/yale/Login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fYale%2f from our old website to the new website. Currently, I have the new site linking to the old link, but I am not sure if we will be able to use this link once we go live with the new website.
This link directs users to register for classes and membership and is an integral part of the website. Please advise how to update/fix the link so it will remain valid for our new website.
Thank you!
Hi Kellie;
Can you give me Admin access to http://dev.sportsandrecreation.yale.edu/.
Also, I would need to be able to see the page on the old site that you are linking to. Can you provide me with login information? I want to see it so that I can give you advice on how and if it can be recreated in your new site.
As to whether you should link to a page on the old site. Typically the old site’s URL is redirected to the new site. So no, the link would not be valid once the new site goes live if the old URL is redirected to the new site.
Once I see what you are trying to recreate on your new site for classes and registration from your old site, I can give you a more specific answer.
Thanks,
Carris
Hi, Kellie:
I believe that my team is helping with the migration and that they have addressed the question you posted on the forum. My understanding is that the page you are linking to is a application and that you will be able to keep the application. Let me know if this issue is resolved.
Best regards,
Carris
