Hi,

I am requesting office hours to discuss several items that we would like to implement on our site.  Listed below:

1) VIEWS: Hyper linking the title of a record when it is found as a result of a search. Right now we have a link titled “see details” and that send the user to the Node where all of the details of the record are store.  If we could instead hyperlink the title of the record, that would simplify the search process for the user.

2) VIEWS, Search functions: Turning keywords into links: “When you are viewing the details of a specific publication, there is a list of keywords. Turn those keywords into links. If a user clicks on this link, they will be taken to a page where all publications associated with this keyword are listed (this is the same page a user sees when entering this keyword in the search box).”

3) VIEWS: Adding the number of publications with each keyword within a record: “On the same page where you have the publication details, you can consider putting between parenthesis the number of publications for each keyword. That way the user can directly see that there are more publications around this topic.
You can apply the same idea to authors. When viewing a publication, make the authors clickable. Link this to a page with all publication of the author. In the future this could be a full author profile… e.g. like this). And you could also put the number of publications behind each author name to indicate that there is more available from that same author.

4) SEARCH functionality: If you change the Google search and replace the “?” for a “#”, then the results will display immediately and visitors won’t need to hit SEARCH.
