Adding Content to a View

We have a new article that I would like to upload today (06/10/16) so that I can share a preview with other staff. …I need someone to walk me through the process of uploading new content on this particular fashion. It looks nothing like the “view” that I have seen in Drupal Camp or Creating Content Types class.
