Form has become Outdated is a persistent issue

Issue/Request:

I have seen this problem posted on the forums before, but a solution to the problem seems to not be made public.

Whenever editing or filling out forms on our Drupal site (we have many users creating content), the form times out within a few minutes and the form needs to be restarted. The timeout is causing a lot of problems for our members. I’ve tried altering the cache systems as was suggested in other threads, but none of the changes I make are retained.

Any help in resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Steven,

This is a known bug that we have been encountering on several sites but are looking for ways to resolve this. We can start by updating your code. I notice your site is still at 7.28. The latest version of Drupal we are running is 7.41. Can you request a Site Refresh? This will update your core files as well as all your modules. We have found that in some sites this is enough to fix the problem.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly Josue. When you say core files, would that include records that we’ve collected and posted in forms to the site? Losing that data would be very bad.

Hello Steve,

The site refresh does not affect any of the content. It just updates the core files (Backend files) and the version of Drupal your site runs on.

Hello Steve,

I’m following up on this request. It seems that other sites experiencing this issue have seen a resolution after moving the site to the cloud. Your site has been moved to the cloud since March. Are you still experiencing this issue or have you found that it’s been resolved?
