Sub menus

Hi there,

I created a sub menu block that I would like to appear on the home page of my site (it’s called “Sub menu home” under “Blocks”). I can’t seem to cause it to show up on the home page (so it doesn’t contain any items yet). How can I resolve this? I would also like to create a sub menu for the “Contact” page.

Also, I’m wondering if it’s possible to link a sub menu item to a section of text in the body of a page. For example, on the page “Lagos 2016,” to link sub menu item “Conference Themes” to the “Conference Themes” header in the body text. I would also like to know whether it’s possible to link sub menu items to pages listed in the main menu. Please advise.

Thanks!

Hello Ifeanyi,

Here are the instructions for adding Menu Blocks. For them to actually show, you’d have to have items added to those menus. See Adding your page to a menu.

Hi Josue,

I have followed these instructions and the menu still won’t appear on my site. I created the menu, added items to it, configured it to appear in Sidebar First, and changed the Delta to make sure that region is rendered visible. Could you help me figure out what I’m doing wrong/not doing? Right now, I’m trying to make “Sub menu front” appear on the home page of my site. I would like to make a different sub menu appear on each page and link certain sub menu items to sections of text in the body of the page.

Hi,

Just checking in on this. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello Ifeanyi,

The Delta for the YaleSites Standard theme does not use Sidebar First. It only has Sidebar Second.
