Emailing RSS Feed Subscribers When New Content or Updated Content

Issue/Request:

The site owner would like the ‘Action Items’ area to email RSS Feed subscribers when existing content is updated or new content is added. Josue and I are having an issue trying to figure out how what replacement pattern token goes in the “to” field in rules or if we need to write specific PHP for this.

Hello Dana,

The problem is that there is no way of knowing who is subscribed to the RSS feed. That’s why we cannot make the connection to Drupal. If somehow you were able to get an actual list, we can insert the list of emails. I checked and there is no way for Drupal to know who registered via the RSS button.
