A CAPTCHA is used to prevent spam attacks on various forms, comments and content types throughout your site. The purpose of CAPTCHA is to block form submissions by spambots, which are automated scripts that post spam content everywhere they can. The CAPTCHA module provides this feature to virtually any user-facing web form on your YaleSite.

The OSTraining tutorial shows the step by step instructions for setting up CAPTCHA on your site. User feedback indicates that if  Add CAPTCHA administration links to forms is checked, (as instructed in Step #4), it will put the CAPTCHA form on all forms including your Search form. Simply leave unchecked if you don’t want to have it on all forms.
